Help Needed For Making A "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" Video Documentary Marking 40 Years Since Author Pirsig's Original ZMM Trip.

Mr. Lee Glover, an independent documentary filmmaker from Boise Idaho, is traveling and video filming the entire ZMM route during July and early August 2008. This effort will mark the 40 year anniversary Robert Pirsig's original trip with Chris, from Minneapolis to San Francisco.
Mr. Glover needs your help in the following ways:
1) If you happen to be traveling this route, you may volunteer to be filmed and interviewed for this documentary, as a “Pirsig’s Pilgrim”. Whether traveling by motorcycle or not, if you are planning the trip during July/August 2008 (Or know someone who is) please contact Mr. Lee Glove.
2) Similarly if you live, or travel, near the ZMM Route, Lee would like to catch up you along the route this summer for video interview and idea sharing.

Now Available: Corrected Full Text to Web Versions of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance.

On my ZMM Links page (see menu left), I give a link to the Full Text of the entire book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" at Cal Tech. However this has a number of "scanner errors" and other deviations from the Bantam Paperback version of ZMM. I have now made a "Corrected Version" of this Cal Tech ZMM Full Book (ie all the words that are in Bantam Paperback printed versions), done on MSW word processor. Serious researchers may ask me for more information.

This a Gallery of ~1266 Photos is arranged in 11 Albums. Hold you mouse over any of the small photos (at left) for a statement of album contents and number of photos. You may then click any photo to view a full introduction to the contents of each album. Then, clicking on the Album Title (or Album Photo) will take you to a page of 18 "thumbnails" having a description for each photo. You may click on any of these to see a larger photo. What do Peters and Waterman mean when they say that "the excellent companies" are "learning organizations" and that "their practices set conventional management wisdom on its ear" ? ........

The answer they give is "that, traditionally, management theory has concentrated upon formally rational methods and techniques of organization: the design of rational structures, the specification of rules, the standardization of procedures. In short, it [this theory] has prescribed rational methods of organization to the relative neglect of fostering dynamic processes of learning. In Pirsig's terms, Quantity is displaced by Quantity" (This is of course the "Quality" fully described and worked our in Robert Pirsig's "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". 060421 At Top of ZMMQ after I had done my first "new install" as opposed to "up grade" from pmwiki-2.0.beta17 to pmwiki-2.1.5. I now have no warning messages, because I found that the file local/wikilog.php was the Wiki Cookbook Calendar that Paul had put in and I realized I really did not have hardly any dates to put into this calendar. so I removed the following from the local/config file [include_once local/wikilog.php .....]

I have collected a considerable amount of potentially useful Information. For example: photographs, maps, and ZMM site directions. As soon as possible, an extensive collection of my research results, conclusions, and digital photos will be available on a Compact Disk (CD).
