As Was the Case of the Narrator, I Also Could not Find Any Motels or Hotels In This Town, Even After An Extensive Search.

Stop sign, Business District, Fortuna, CA. Here, the Narrator departs from his normal practice of giving the town name of the filling station or the motel. As we have seen before, he often does this when the scenes reported seem to be particularly disagreeable to him. My statement above about “no motels” seems extreme and therefore possibly in error. Can someone please help here?
