[In the opening of Chapter 28, because of the Narrator’s bad dream (Chapter 27), he is still badly shaken and extreemly frightened. The Narrator, sensing the return of the Ghost of Phaedrus, grows more hopeless. The cold gray dawn of their Oregon camp ground reminds him of Phaedrus’s total failure in the cold, gray, & bleak streets of Chicago. To Show this university’s Church and Medieval Academic Origins, this building has ribbed and vaulted high-gothic arches in the darkened entrance way and three Roof Sheltered Recessed Platforms which are prepared places for Statues of the Saints. These features will be shown, in greater detail, in later photos of this building.
